Jane has a BA from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a specialist communications consultant. She has worked extensively in the areas of training, marketing services, public relations and communications. She has comprehensive experience in all fields of written and audio-visual communication, spanning diverse disciplines including commerce, manufacturing, engineering, electronics, mining, healthcare, science, technology, the environment and conservation.

She has authored and designed a number of children’s activity leaflets with teacher’s guides, nature field guides for children, and is presently completing a teen’s environmental adventure novel. With Di Goodwin, she is co-author of Mulbry the Bear Gardening for Children books, as well as the popular What On Earth? series of children’s environmental activity books. Jane has a special interest in the environment and in the conservation of South Africa’s natural and cultural heritage.

Jane established Crystal Stream Communications in 1982, a communications consultancy and video production company. It is recognized for quality and innovation in television scriptwriting, direction and production. The company researches, writes, edits and proofs a variety of materials including lectures, speeches, reports, radio and television scripts, advertising copy, books, manuals, guides and newsletters.

The children’s books are predominantly environmental activity books and educational leaflets with teacher’s guides. The manuscript of a teen’s adventure novel entitled Legend of Ghost Mountain is currently with publishers.
