Tanja Joubert graduated in Graphic Design and Illustration from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She has been involved in the South African publishing industry for a few years and currently works as a freelance illustrator and designer on illustration projects ranging from educational to trade books. Although she mainly specializes in the field of children's books, she also produces illustrations for a wide selection of adult books, as well as for clients in the field of advertising, packaging and stationery.
Three of the children’s books Tanja Joubert has illustrated, Marcus Star Mouse on the Soyuz 3...2...1!, Die avonture van Magrietjie Swaaiboude, and Haas Das raak weg were on the shortlist for a MER award in the category for illustrated children’s books (South Africa).
