I am a happily-married 51-year-old mother of five children, and grandmother of one. I also happen to have tried fitting in being a general practitioner somewhere along the line.

I have been studying through the Writers’ Bureau.

I write books aimed at pre-teens and teens. I have not yet been published, but my first book, which is sitting hopefully at yet another publisher, is a fantasy aimed at the 9-13 year age group.  This not about another boy wizard, trying to outdo the best.

The book on which I am currently working is aimed at the teen market, and is a time-travel story set in Cape Town, going back to the Cape of the 1800’s.  It obviously involves modern-day teens, and some of their 1800-counterparts.  While this book has a lot that is light-hearted, there is also a more serious aspect to it.

I have written a couple of reviews of children’s books for the Veld and Flora magazine (published September 2008).
