Children’s books have been my passion since childhood, and my friend and I have always dreamed of creating our own children’s books – me doing the illustrations and she writing the stories... She has since moved on to other things, but I am still in the world of books, reading, drawing and writing.

It is a wonderful world of creatures that have magical powers, and trees that can talk.

To create books is a privilege and an honour and I consider myself lucky that I can escape to my wonderful world of characters and creatures, animals and insects, creating them and giving them life...

I have a BA (ED) ART IV degree from the University of Pretoria (1994) and was the winner of the 2007 SCBWI (Gauteng branch) Mentorship programme (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators).

I have been working as a graphic designer and illustrator since 1996 and have a wide range of samples available on request. I do hand drawn and computer-generated illustration and work in Freehand, Coral draw and Photoshop.
