I am a South African writer, that has been reading since the day I learned the alphabet, writing since I picked up my first pen. I have successfully published various poems, flash fiction and short stories, some examples of which are listed below:
Short Story:
- I Feel Good –Women & Home Magazine: Short Story Competition (May 2008)
- A meeting of minds – And Quiet Flows the Limpopo and other stories by The Short Story Review of Southern Africa (2003).
Poetry:
- Cease – Anthology of Verse: Surrendering Thoughts, by PIA and published by Unique Publications (2003)
- Oh little church of Bethlehem –Anthology of Verse: The Golden Thread, by PIA and published by Unique Publications (2003).
Flash Fiction:
- Aborigine Sky Lines: A woman sits down to write… Orts and Fragments from Women’s Writing workshops, Cape Town.
My “day job”, as an Entrepreneur, Coach and Facilitator (with a BA (Psychology), attained at 34 years old) is very fulfilling. It allows me insight into people’s inner workings - our likes, dislikes, wants, needs, ticks, habits, fantasies and foibles. My passion is people, the inner working of our mind and putting words on paper.
I love working with teenagers and young adults and have written the first book in the Scroll of Seven Series, Emily and the Battle of the Veil, to encourage exploration into both our inner and outer worlds. The second of the series, Emily and the Sprites of Light, is currently in progress.
I love reading fantasy fiction just as much as the next generation and know I have created something that we’ll love reading and that will keep us exploring!
